Manassa Petithomme graduated from Florida A&M University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority. While in college she participated in several volunteer programs. At the Jack McClain Center, in Tallahassee, she worked with urban young females of color empowering them through self-esteem classes, proper etiquette, and reading challenges. Manassa volunteered as a Big Sister with the Big Brother, Big Sister Foundation. She was part of Epicurean Fashion Experience which allows her to participate in activities in the community like fashion shows and Mentor-Mentee programs.
In 2006, Manassa’s professional experience included working as a medical record specialist at Tallahassee Memorial. Her responsibilities encompassed working with physicians, nurses, and social workers assisting them with completing client charts.
After moving to Miami in January 2008, Manassa began working as a Community Health Promoter for the Jay Weiss Center. She plans to eventually pursue a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. |
